Elpha Secure
Software EngineerDate: January 2022 - Present
- - Architected and developed scalable backend microservices and databases (PostgreSQL) using Python (Aiohttp), RabbitMQ, and Kubernetes, forming the backbone of Elpha Secure's insurance and cyber product offerings.
- - Played a pivotal role in launching the V2 quoting platform by re-architecting the database schema and developing core REST API endpoints, resulting in a 5x improvement in broker workflow efficiency, as well as increasing developer efficiency to develop new features and products
- - Led the technical implementation of the Enterprise API, expanding our quoting engine's accessibility to external aggregators via REST API, resulting in a 5x increase in submission count.
- - Architected the company's security alerting system from the ground up, designing and implementing the complete backend infrastructure, including the PostgreSQL database and REST API, to deliver critical, real-time vulnerability notifications to users detected on their machines
- - Designed and built the data infrastructure for the vulnerability detection service, creating a robust pipeline to fetch, ingest, and index CVE data in Elasticsearch. This work directly enabled a new, high-value feature for alerting users to critical system vulnerabilities.
- - Automated complex post-issuance policy management by integrating our system with a 3rd party platform. I engineered a robust Go microservice, leveraging its native XML parsing to handle intricate policy management, removing manual policy processing by our operations team
